Artist William Boney has produced art in a very broad range of different mediums all of his life, but for the last two years he has dedicated himself solely to Metal Art. While specializing in Custom Pieces for his clients he has become a successful, full-time Metal Artist, designing and making over one thousand pieces of art. His creations have included many subjects and themes in pieces as small as business card holders to pieces as long as 16 feet. With years of Metalworking experience he has mastered the technique of cutting steel out by hand with an Oxygen/Acetylene torch.

He works alone, overseeing first hand, every aspect of the work from start to finish. The burnished and copper brazed pieces take a considerable amount of time to complete, but are William's favorite finishes to do. After he works past the designing and cutting stages these pieces are then polished by hand using a grinder, and then heated with the torch to produce the array of colors. Using the heat from the torch in a manner similar to that of an airbrush, William puts details in his burnishing process which can give the design on a flat surface a 3-dimensional look. They are then coated with a clear polyurethane giving them their illustrious finish that's like none other.

Although most of his works are finished in the burnishing process, he will paint the pieces when it is preferred by the customer. Having been handmade in steel, these are truly "one-of-a-kind" and very collectible pieces, with quality incorporated into them so that they will last for generations to come.
